I am a Senior UX Researcher at Meta. I specialize in ethnography, quick insights methods, and storytelling. I previously managed the B2C eCommerce research team at the Home Depot.
My book, Last Stand of the Louisiana Shrimpers, is forthcoming in September 2022. You can find my poems and essays in The Southern Review, PANK, PMLA, Southern Spaces, and Drunken Boat among other places.
Before my career in UX, I taught American Studies and Creative Writing. I hold a PhD from Emory University’s Institute for the Liberal Arts and an MFA in Creative Writing from Cornell University. I am also the Creative and Strategy Director of Terrebonne Advocates for Possibility, a cultural non-profit I founded in 2009.
I live outside Atlanta with my wife and children.
